Our 4 week Introductory course


Aimed at beginners

We run a regular 'introduction to mindfulness course aimed at complete beginners, or those who have tried an app like Headspace or Calm and want to deepen their practise. 

If you are experiencing stress, anxiety, insomnia or depression, mindfulness is able to help you change the way you deal with your thoughts, emotions and feelings

Relaxed, friendly environment

We recognise that joining a group teaching mindful meditation may seem like a big step, but we endeavour to provide a friendly and welcoming environment, explaining, exploring and teaching mindfulness practices.

We try to explain things in a light-hearted way, without being too serious all the time, and ensure we have plenty of breaks for teas & coffees (provided) and the odd slice of cake.

We are not running a therapy session and will be discouraging you from sharing anything other than your experiences of the mindful activities we do, so don't be nervous about coming!

Resources provided

We will send you a recording each week to help and guide your meditation practice between session.

It's up to you how much practice you do, but the more the better is a good rule of thumb. We won't be checking up on you or setting work to mark, though!

If so, you can learn to meditate!

We will provide full guidance, tuition and supporting notes to help you on your way

Practical thingies

Our next courses will be running at 'The Room' in Almondbury which is a lovely and tranquil place to meditate.

Each course lasts for 4 weeks, running on either a Sunday morning between 10am-12pm, or on a Tuesday evening between 7pm and 9pm

The course costs £49.

Our 4 week introductory course is a mixture of teaching and guided meditation practice, that should 'get you going' with mindfulness and help you to understand why it works.

Starting Tuesday September 10th, then 17th and 24th September, finishing on 1st October.
